4 affordable products which are amazing!

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to do a post on 4 products (Skin care and beauty), which are cheap but I have found to be really great!

Firstly is this Nivea moisturiser. It can be bought at Superdrug or Boots and retails for around £2.45, which is really affordable compared to some other brands such as Clinique, which have similar quality products with a much higher price tag. Obviously Clinique moisturisers are more fitted to certain skin types and therefore can provide more special treatment, but in my opinion this is only really necessary if you have skin issues. This Nivea moisturiser is quite heavy duty, so I wear it in winter to provide an amazing base for makeup, and it smoothes and heals any rough patches on my skin. Also it can be used as a hand and body moisturiser, so is great for dry elbows, knees or hands. I also mix this with foundation to get an amazing tinted moisturiser. Overall it is amazing for the money and is great for all skin types, even oily because it sinks in so quickly!

The next product is this eyeshadow palette from BeautyUK, which I purchased at Superdrug for £3.99.

It has an amazing range of pigmented, warm brown tones which I use with loads of other colours, such as a pale white across the lid and a warm brown in the crease. The colour isn't too intense either for a subtle look, but is build able for a more dramatic look such as a smoky eye. It also comes with eye liners, which can be smudged along the waterline for a gorgeous warm look. I find the pale cream colour is not as pigmented as the others, but for the price I think this is to be expected. As well, this palette comes with a fluffy brush and eyeliner brush, which are actually really good! The palette is thin so it is great for travelling, and overall it is really good quality and I recommend it highly!  I couldn't find the exact link for the palette but it is available at Superdrug and they have a range of colours too :)

My next product is these facemasks which I also bought from Superdrug, but I am fairy sure they are availiable at boots and Primark as well. They are only 99p, and they work really well for clearing skin, as well as being full of fruity ingredients which benefit your skin in many ways. I always use one before going to a special occasion just to give my skin a radiant glow and clear it of any excess oil which can clog pores. I recently bought a facemask from lush for about £5, but it didn't do anything for my skin except take a long time to clean up! I don't know if this is because I bought one which was not appropriate for my skin type, but the point I am trying to make is that these sachets are only 99p yet they work amazingly! :D

The last product I want to mention is these duo eyeshadows from natural collection, which are from Boots and only cost £1.99 which is incredible value! I find these eyeshadows quite pigmented and when used with a good primer they last for ages. If you are wanting to experiment with different colours but you don't want to spend a fortune, these eyeshadows are great for that. Also I'm aware some people can't get these products, so I will do a giveaway when I get 50 followers! Also I'll try to do some more posts on natural collection products because I am a big fan (of most of them!)

The birth of Handpicked Beauty!

Hey everyone!
(aka: whoever is reading this)

This the birth of my blog handpicked beauty!

My blog is basically going to be a  mix of loads of different things-basically whatever I feel like. I chose  the name 'Handpicked Beauty', because I want my blog to be about all different things I find beautiful and  things which inspire me.

Let me know in the comment section what you would like me to do, because I'm not completely sure what I am going to blog about yet, or if anyone is actually going to read this, but I thought it would be cool to look back on in a few years and see if I've changed!

I've been wanting to create a blog for ages, but I haven't got around to doing it until now, but I thought if it doesn't go well and more importantly I'm not enjoying it, I can just stop, so I thought I'd give it a shot and see what happens!

Anyway, please comment if there's anything you'd like me to write a post about, and thanks for reading! :D
