Revlon Nearly Naked foundation | Handpicked Beauty

Today I thought I would review one of my favourite makeup products for you, Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. I don't usually wear foundation, and I have only tried about 4, because I don't like the feel of it on my skin or to feel like I have loads of product on my face, so I bought this as it seems really light and fresh. It was also only £8.99, which is a bargain for a great base product.

It doesn't have a very high coverage, I would say it just covers up minor scars rather than covering any spots on its own, but it does a really natural job of evening out the skin.

I find this is fairly long lasting, the longest I would ever have to wear this for is about 6 hours (school) so I don't know how it endures for longer than that. It has a really dewy, natural finish, however I find it can get a little oily, so a lot of powder is needed. I also find that it can get a bit oily during the day and start to slip away. I also think it can take a while to blend in, and whenever I use a brush with it it looks a bit streaky so I usually try to blend it with my fingers.

I love the fact that the shade of this foundation isn't too dark or orange for me. I am super pale so it's really hard to find a good match for my skin tone, but this colour looks really natural.

Overall, I think this is a lovely foundation if you are looking for something to conceal any minor imperfections and to have a natural, dewy look, however if you are after something with a bit more coverage or if you have really oily skin, I would maybe recommend something different.

Have you tried this foundation?

Lots of love,

My top 5 new skincare finds!

I have got quite oily, acne prone skin and lately my skin has been really bad :( However I have been using some new products (some newer than others) which I absolutely love! So here are some of my top 5 new skincare finds...

I have used this on/off for about a year, but since Christmas I have been using this every single night to take off my makeup. It dissolves it all away and leaves my skin so clean and fresh! I don't usually use the Liz Earle muslin clothes; after recommendation from Caroline Hirons I use just normal Primark flannels. They are much more effective and exfoliating :) I have this in the 200ml version, as it's much better value. However they do it in loads of different sizes, including a starter kit with a muslin cloth if you are new to it. Although it is on the slightly expensive side, it's definitely worth it and I really recommend it!

This is a completely new find for me, and I loveee it! It's my first time using an exfoliating toner, as I  usually use the traditional abrasive bead scrubs to exfoliate my skin. I find those too harsh though, and they also spread bacteria, especially since I already have spots. This is much more concentrated yet more calming for my skin, and is a super effective way to get brighter skin. It also is an amazing product to prep your skin for any moisturisers or serums.

I have been recently using this lush tea tree water as a toner. It comes in a spray bottle which I absolutely love. Instead of using a cotton pad I just spray this all over my face, meaning a lot less product is wasted. I use it after the exfoliating toner and it sinks in almost straight away, helping to calm any redness. I have the £3.95 version and I have been using it for about 2 months and it is still almost full!

My bargain product which I absolutely love is this night treatment gel from Boots. This was only £1.99 and was a random buy after I saw it in Boots, and I'm super glad I bought it! I apply it after the tea tree lush toner, or just straight after the exfoliating toner, and it leaves my skin really moisturised yet still fights spots and helps to mattify my skin. It works overnight, and although it isn't a miracle worker, it definitely helps to calm my skin down, and for a mere £1.99 you can't really go wrong!

I love this because it is so calming for my skin and doesn't irritate it at all. It is so silky to rub into the skin after using the hot cloth cleanser, and leaves my skin feeling so clean and amazing.

Hope you enjoyed this post, what are your favourite skincare products?

15.

Hey everyone!

Two days ago, I turned 15. Feels weird saying I'm 15!! I had an amazing day with my friends and family :) My parents bought me a new camera, so I spent the entire day taking loads of pictures and I'm so happy with how they turned out. It is the Nikon D300. I am so excited to take loads of pictures for my blog; I love the quality and focus of them so much :) This is a very photo-heavy post!

A few of my favourite cards and flowers :)

I love how happy I am in this picture :) I had such a great day eating loads of cake, drinking tea and watching Tangled with some of my best friends!

I am so obsessed with these berry flavoured jellybeans!

One of my best friends wrote me this note; it's so special to me :)

A bit of an off guard picture of me, took by my brother Ben :)

I love this mint green clock so much! My mum and dad bought this for me to go with my new room, as I have a mint green and white colour scheme. Plus, it says 'Jones' on it! So perfect :)

Birthday breakfast of pancakes!

A lovely pic of us all in Mexico :)

My little brother Sam gave me this super cute card :) I said 'I can't actually have chewing gum because of my braces, and he replied with 'I know, I was hoping you would give them to me...that's why I already ate 2'.

This was a little birthday present from me to myself, some really cute Bambi socks from Primark :) £2 very well spent!

My sister bought me this lovely floral tin with a cat on it; I love it so much.

My mum got me a new hot cloth cleanser as I ran out a few weeks ago.

Hope you enjoyed this post, my first post of being 15!

Lots of love,

Natural Collection eyeshadow duo in Apple/Frost | Handpicked Beauty

                                                      Hey everyone,

I thought I would review this beautiful eyeshadow duo from Natural Collection. I love Natural collection, the majority of the products are £1.99 and they are such great value! I have had this eyeshadow duo for a few months and have been meaning to review it for a while. This duo contains the shades Apple and Frost- such pretty names! I think the colours are so perfect for a crisp winter morning :)  The shimmery white is perfect for the inner corner of the eye, and the mint green looks gorgeous smudged along the lower lashline or on the lid.

The pigmentation of these colours is amazing. They last for a really long time without creasing, and they look so pretty!
I am so impressed with this duo and will be buying more! Have you tried any Natural Collection products?
